DMV Girls Try Hockey for Free: Sept. 13

In partnership with the Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA) and the Washington Capitals, the NoVA Ice Dogs are proud to support the annual DMV Girls Try Hockey for Free Day on Saturday, September 13, 2025  from 4:30-6:30pm.

Registration is open to girls ages 4-9. All necessary hockey equipment is provided and no experience is required!

When registering, please make sure to select the Mount Vernon Ice Rink as your venue!  See you on the ice!

  • Date: Saturday, September 13th
  • Location:  Mount Vernon Ice Rink, Alexandria, VA
  • Time: 4:30-6:30pm (Ice time 5-6pm)
  • Age Range:  Girls 4-9 years old
  • What to expect: Free hockey instruction, all equipment provided, and a fun, safe environment
  • How to register:  REGISTER HERE (Be sure to choose the MOUNT VERNON RINK!)

Important: Please arrive by 4:30pm to get dressed and ready to take the ice and stay after for snacks and giveaways!
