Our travel hockey program provides a fun, competitive atmosphere that balances player development and team competitiveness with reasonable travel, time, and cost commitments.

TRAVEL TRYOUTS

Tryout registration for Ice Dogs’ 2025-2026 Coed CBHL programs is now open! 

Tryout Dates:
10U-12U: March 15 &16
14U-18U: April 26 & 27

SEASON OVERVIEW

For the 2025-26 season, we look forward to returning to the NEW Mount Vernon double-sheet rink in Alexandria, VA. Our season runs mid-August to early March, and includes:

• 40-50 practices (typically 2 practices/week)
• Additional skills development opportunities
• 25+ games (average of 2 weekend games): combination of league games, non-league games, and tournaments. Older teams typically play more games than younger teams.
• Approximately 2-3 tournaments/trips, with a mix of local and overnight experiences

LEAGUE

For the 2025-26 season, the Ice Dogs’ coed travel teams will compete in the Chesapeake Bay Hockey League (CBHL). We do not intend to declare in additional leagues.

COSTS

Travel hockey costs for the 2025-26 season:

• Coed 12U-18U: $2800
• Coed 10U: $2500
