For the 2025-26 season, we look forward to returning to the NEW Mount Vernon double-sheet rink in Alexandria, VA, and adding CBHL travel teams and Learn-to-Play to our ongoing CCHL and Girls’ hockey programs!
CBHL (Travel) Tryouts
The Ice Dogs will hold tryouts for 2025-26 CBHL teams for all age groups in the spring of 2025.
Coed:
10U-12U: March 14-17
14U-18U: April 26-29
Girls:
10U-12U: March 22-23
14U-19U: April 30-May 4
Tryouts will be held at Tucker Road Ice Rink. Specific session times for each age group are TBD but we will make every effort to avoid direct conflicts with other area clubs’ tryout schedules. Our goal in structuring tryouts is to offer flexibility and options for players trying out at multiple clubs, and to help players and families make choices with all available information.
As of today, the Ice Dogs intend to field CBHL teams at each age group. Team levels will be confirmed after tryouts and player selection.
Registration for CBHL tryouts will open in early 2025: stay tuned!
Spring Hockey
Spring programs will be held at Tucker Road Ice Rink.
Coed 8U-14U:
The Ice Dogs will offer an 8-week coed skills and scrimmage program for 8U-14U players, running Saturday afternoon/evenings from mid-March through mid-May. Sessions will include skating instruction, skills work, and scrimmages.
Girls' hockey:
The Girls’ program will offer an 8-week skills and small area games program for 8U-12U and 14U-19U players, with a weeknight skills clinic and weekend small area game sessions from the beginning of April through Memorial Day.
